9-29-2014 — Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone announced today that QB EJ Manuel (3) will be benched and Kyle Orton (18) will get the start for their Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions.

Marrone decided to pull the plug after two straight losses which included yesterday’s loss to the Houston Texans. In that game, Manuel threw two interceptions, including a pick 6 to Texans DE J Watt. In four starts, Manuel has completed 58 percent of his passes with five touchdowns, three interceptions and a passer rating of 80.3. The Bills are 2-2. Marrone did not comment on a long-term commitment to either quarterback.

It was a stunning upset for the Pittsburgh Steelers at home against the 0-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Week 4 matchup on Sept 28, 2014. With less than 10 seconds left on the game clock, Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (83) makes the game-winning touchdown catch in front of Pittsburgh Steelers CB William Gay (22). Bucs won 27-24 win.
