Baylor’s new stadium

8-30-14 — Linebacker James Harrison announced his retirement today on Facebook. Currently a free agent, the 36-year-old Harrison had played 10 of his 11 NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was named league defensive player of the year in 2008.

8/29/14 — Today the NFL announced a nine-game suspension for San Francisco OLB Aldon Smith for violating the league’s policy on personal conduct and substance abuse. With the 49ers Week 8 bye, Smith will be eligible to return for the Week 11 game against the New York Giants.
